Principal Investigator
João Henrique Lopes is a Professor at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) in São José dos Campos, Brazil. He is the founder and coordinator of the Biomaterials & Biointerfaces Laboratory (BBLab), a research group dedicated to advancing the frontiers of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering through innovative biomaterials and biofabrication.
His research integrates chemistry, biology, and engineering to develop advanced bioactive glasses, mesoporous nanomaterials, and biofabrication systems. He is a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow Level C and actively collaborates with international research groups on projects funded by FAPESP and CNPq.
Postgraduate Research Team
Our team comprises PhD and Master's students actively engaged in the development of advanced biomaterials and biointerfaces for regenerative medicine.
